Is My Child Too Young for ABA Therapy?

One of the questions we hear the most is, “Should we wait and see if things get better?”

Every child develops at their own pace, but if you have concerns about your child’s communication, behavior, social skills, or development, it’s always worth asking questions sooner rather than later.

Early intervention gives children more opportunities to learn important skills during some of the most important years of development. That doesn’t mean older children can’t make amazing progress too. They absolutely can. It just means the earlier we can begin teaching skills, the more opportunities your child has to use them in everyday life.

ABA isn’t about changing who your child is. It’s about helping them build skills that make life easier.

If you’ve been wondering whether now is the right time, trust your instincts. You don’t have to wait until things become more difficult. Even if you’re not sure your child needs services, an assessment can help answer your questions and give you a better understanding of what support may be helpful.

The hardest part is usually making the first phone call. After that, we’ll walk through everything together.
